Tipis in the peak weddings

We know that after the excitement of a proposal comes the sudden worry and realisation of what you are about to embark on. But don’t panic! We’re here to guide you every step of the way, and with our top 5 tips for the ultimate tipi wedding, we’ll ensure that you’re a tipi expert in no time! 

Let’s face it, our British weather can sometimes take a turn for the worst. However, professional sturdy tipis can provide warmth and shelter in winds up to 70mph, so are extremely resilient – once the party really gets going you’ll 100% forget all about the weather!

With plenty of structures to choose from we are more than expertly equipped to create a tipi wedding in any condition. 

When thinking about venues, keep in mind that tipis can go anywhere. Ideally it’s a level grassed surface with good vehicle access. For example consider farmer’s fields, sports fields, pubs/restaurant grounds, private hotels, community centres, village halls and campsites etc.

Don’t worry about securing a venue first, getting the tipis booked is something we advise doing asap to make sure they’re yours on your chosen date. 

Whilst we’d love it to be, getting wed inside our tipis isn’t legal… YET! However we can offer fabulous venues with on-site ceremony spaces, and tackle the formality of marriage registration either before or after.

Plenty of our couples have had gorgeous blessings both inside and outside of the tipis, so we can share loads of inspo and ideas to get your guests gushing at the all-important I Do’s! Want an outdoor ceremony? No problem! Weather not on your side? Again, no problem – we’ll have a Plan A and Plan B in place, so that whatever the weather the ceremony is nothing short of amazing.

This part is defo one of our favourites – it’s when we focus on creating your bespoke layouts! As plans evolve, we will continue to advise on the right sized space for your wedding, and ensure that everyone is comfortably accommodated during both the daytime and evening celebrations. It may be that as you add more furnishings, you find that a little more room is needed, so we’ll happily chat about the best ways to maximise your space without breaking the bank! 

We can even be on-hand during the big day to make sure everything runs seamlessly.

 Try to think outside the box! How do you want guests to feel as they enter your tipis – what kind of impression do you want to make? The way you style your tipis has a massive impact and can really help to add your personality into the spaces. We love when couples bring DIY decorations and props as it makes the tipis as unique as possible – think signature tipples, thoughtful favours and stand-out seating plans. We also know of some fab wedding peeps who can really help to create the most amazing atmospheres and keep all guests entertained.
