Is it Teepee or Tipi?

Tipi is the traditional spelling used by Native American tribes. The word “tipi” comes from the Lakota language, meaning “a dwelling” or “a house.” Tipis were conical tents made of animal skins stretched over wooden poles, and they were designed to be easily assembled and disassembled, making them ideal for the nomadic lifestyle of many Plains tribes⛺️

Teepee is an altered version of “tipi” that became more common in English usage over time. It is the more widely recognised spelling, but it’s essentially a less accurate version of the original term🏕️
